Thiruvarutchelvar is a 1967 Tamil devotional movie starring Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini, Gemini Ganesan, Muthuraman, Savithri, Nagesh, Manorama and others, directed by A. P. Nagarajan, Music by K.V. Mahadevan. The Film Thiruvarutchelvar is a tribute to the 63 poets who sang praises of Lord Shiva. Shivaji Ganesan plays a king who embarks on a a quest to devote himself to God, beginning this quest with the recitation of a poem about God and a number of his disciples. The film is a collection of many incidents and short stories that glorifies Lord Shiva.
